MAGICC consta de un conjunto de modelos de circulación global de la atmósfera, clima y deshielo, integrados en un sencillo software. El software permite al usuario determinar los cambios en las concentraciones de gases de efecto invernadero, la temperatura media global del aire de superficie, y el nivel del mar resultante de las emisiones antropogénicas. SCENGEN construye una serie de proyecciones de cambio climático para el mundo utilizando los resultados de MAGICC junto con la información de cambio climático de AOGCM del archivo CMIP3/AR4.
